Assistant Manager – Logistics & Store – Procurement- 4+ Years - Hoshiarpur

We are looking for a Senior Engineer / Assistant Manager – Logistics & Store – Procurement with 4+ years of experience in Inbound Logistics, Direct Procurement Logistics, Supply Chain, or Material Management. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in supplier coordination, transporter management, inbound material movement, inventory flow, and plant logistics, preferably within the Automotive, Tractor, Agricultural Equipment, or Auto Component manufacturing industry.

Location: Hoshiarpur, Punjab

This role offers an opportunity to work closely with Purchase, PPC, Stores, Production, Quality, Finance, suppliers, and logistics partners to ensure seamless material availability at the plant.

Responsibilities

1. Manage end-to-end inbound logistics and material movement from direct suppliers to the plant.
2. Coordinate with suppliers and transporters for dispatches, vehicle placement, delivery schedules, delays, and shortages.
3. Monitor material availability, transit stock, pending deliveries, and inventory flow to support uninterrupted production.
4. Ensure timely material availability at the plant and point of use, coordinating closely with PPC, Stores, Production, and Purchase.
5. Monitor supplier and transporter performance, delivery adherence, logistics KPIs, and service levels.
6. Identify opportunities for freight cost optimization, vehicle utilization, route planning, and logistics efficiency.
7. Prepare logistics MIS and drive Kaizen/continuous improvement initiatives related to material flow, delivery reliability, and cost reduction.

Requirements

1. 4+ years of relevant experience in Inbound Logistics, Direct Procurement Logistics, Supply Chain, Material Management, or Plant Logistics.
2. Experience in Automotive / Tractor / Agricultural Equipment / Auto Component / Manufacturing industries preferred.
3. Strong experience in supplier coordination and transporter management.
4. Hands-on understanding of direct material movement and inbound logistics.
5. Good knowledge of inventory management, material shortages, transit stock, delivery schedules, and line-side material availability.
6. Experience in freight cost optimization, vehicle utilization, and logistics KPI monitoring.
7. Strong knowledge of MIS, MS Excel, ERP/SAP, logistics tracking, and data analysis.
8. Education: B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical, Automobile, Production, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related discipline.
