  • Common Data Environment (CDE) Administration: Manage document control for the project. Ensure all structural drawings, specifications, authority approvals, and construction records are organized and up to date within the CDE.
  • Project Register Maintenance: Update project logs daily. Track the status of RFIs, technical submittals, variation orders, and action items from meetings.
  • Meeting Support & Minutes: Attend project meetings, take clear and accurate meeting minutes, and track action items to ensure responsible teams complete them.
  • Site Inspection Support: Support Construction Managers and Project Managers during site walks. Capture progress photos, log safety concerns, and track punch-list items for resolution.
  • Closeout and Handover Documentation: Gather, check, and organize handover documents. This includes Operation and Maintenance (O&M) manuals, warranty papers, and as-built drawings for final TOP submission.

Job Description

The Assistant Project Manager provides vital operational, administrative, and technical support to the Data Centre PMC team. This role focuses on document control, tracking deliverables, and assisting with site inspections to learn the nuances of data centre delivery.

Qualifications

  • Technical Mastery: Foundational ability to read architectural blueprints, structural designs, and single-line diagrams for electrical layouts.
  • Construction Sequencing Knowledge: Basic understanding of construction workflows, from initial excavation and structural work up to final fit-out and testing.
  • PM Software Proficiency: Comfortable setting up logs and tracking lists in Smartsheet, managing document workflows in Procore, and navigating folders and models in ACC.
  • Education & Professional Credentials: Degree or Diploma in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture.
