What you'll do

  • Draft and negotiate primary and ancillary finance documents for a broad range of finance, banking and structured finance transactions, including credit agreements, security agreements, and intercreditor agreements, utilizing both LSTA and LMA frameworks as well as bespoke documentation for complex or specialty finance transactions.
  • Assist in the execution of structured finance transactions, including warehouse facilities, asset-based lending, and securitization-related matters including review of all relevant documentation and legal opinions for multiple asset classes (RMBS, CMBS, ABS, Consumer, etc.).
  • Independently manage assigned transaction workstreams and work effectively within deal teams, coordinating with internal stakeholders and outside counsel to ensure seamless transaction closings.
  • Participate in client calls and meetings, provide support to senior team members and respond to client requests in a timely and professional manner. Responsiveness and sound judgment are essential.
  • Actively participate in the firm’s training programs and take ownership of discrete workstreams to develop your skills toward senior-level responsibilities.
  • Monitoring relevant regulatory and legislative changes and requirements and advise internal stakeholders regarding their potential impact on the firm’s business.
  • Working with internal clients on special projects as requested.
  • Managing outside counsel and outside legal expenses.
  • Assisting with third-party matters, NDAs, engagement letters and ancillary litigation matters.

We are currently looking for an Associate-level Attorney to join our Legal team in New York, NY.

Role Overview

We are seeking a talented Attorney to join our growing Fixed Income practice. This role is ideal for an attorney who has experience in finance, banking, or structured finance who is eager to broaden their expertise across a range of products and asset classes. You will work closely with partners and senior counsel in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, increasing responsibility, and professional development.

The anticipated starting salary range for individuals expressing interest in this position is $200,000 - $225,000 per year. Placement within this range is dependent upon level of experience, location and other factors. This position is eligible for annual incentive compensation which will be a part of the total compensation. Total compensation for this position will be competitive with the market.
