What you'll do

  • Inspect painted automotive panels, body components, and assemblies for conformity to established quality standards and specifications.
  • Perform first-off, in-process, and final inspections as required.
  • Identify non-conforming parts and ensure they are properly identified, segregated, and controlled in accordance with company procedures.
  • Accurately document inspection results and non-conformances.
  • Assist in investigating the root causes of paint-related quality issues and participate in corrective and preventive action activities as required.
  • Ensure inspection activities are performed in accordance with applicable Quality Management System procedures.
  • Work closely with Paint Shop, Production, Engineering, and Quality personnel to identify and resolve paint quality issues.
  • Provide feedback to production personnel regarding identified defects and quality requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing paint defects and improving first-time quality.
  • Participate in quality audits and layered process audits as required.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe inspection area in accordance with company policies and 5S principles.
  • Perform other duties and quality-related activities as assigned by the QA Manager.

Position Overview:

Multimatic Niche Vehicles North America (MNVNA) is the exclusive production facility of the Ford GTD Mustang.

MNVNA is seeking an Automotive Parts Inspector (Painted Panels) who will be responsible for inspecting painted automotive panels and components to ensure they meet established quality standards. Working within the Quality Assurance department and reporting directly to the QA Manager, the Automotive Parts Inspector (Painted Panels) will identify, document, and communicate paint and finish defects while supporting corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.

The successful candidate will have a strong eye for detail, a thorough understanding of automotive paint quality requirements, and the ability to consistently identify defects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role plays an important part in ensuring that finished products meet the high-quality standards expected by OEM customers.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Inspect painted automotive panels, body components, and assemblies for conformity to established quality standards and specifications.

This job posting is for an existing vacancy. The total cash compensation range for this position is expected to be:

$21.14 - $34.09
