Organizational Overview: The Performance Marketing Team is the engine behind business growth as it handles the majority of marketing activities. Role Summary/Purpose:

Reporting to the VP, Growth Surveillance Manager, this role will help lead key process surveillance activities ensuring alignment with the Enterprise Surveillance Standards. The role partners with Process Surveillance leadership to design and execute control testing, provide QA through peer/tollgate reviews, and drive timely resolution of issues and emerging risks. Additionally, the role leads SIAM/role profile governance for Growth, applying clear decision criteria and risk-based challenge to ensure consistent, controlled, and well-documented access/role profile decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Annual Plan and Quarterly Refresh processes by ensuring WMS artifacts and supporting documentation are complete, accurate, and aligned to Enterprise Surveillance Standards.
  • Partner with Process Surveillance VPs to design and implement new control testing, including drafting Test of Design documentation, and overseeing development and execution of Control CTC testing to ensure key risks are identified and mitigated.
  • Provide oversight and leadership for complex testing reviews; proactively coach and support team members to ensure quality standards, deliverables, and timelines are consistently met.
  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across Growth; communicate review status, escalate obstacles, and facilitate timely resolution of issues and emerging risks.
  • Execute peer and tollgate reviews of testing work products, providing constructive feedback and ensuring adherence to testing methodology and documentation standards; serve as acting leader in the manager’s absence as assigned.
  • Coordinate with Growth Surveillance Leaders to plan and deliver strategic initiatives, including process improvements and implementation of new or enhanced surveillance/testing approaches.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned. Specifically, the execution of testing, as the schedule dictates.

Required Skills/Knowledge:

  • Bachelor's degree with minimum 4+ years in Financial Services industry specializing in reporting, governance, risk management, audit, compliance, or Growth experience; or in lieu of a degree 6+ years in Financial Services industry specializing in reporting, governance, risk management, audit, compliance, or Growth experience.
  • Minimum 2+ years of Audit, Testing, Surveillance
  • Minimum 3+ years in consumer banking laws and regulations
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience applying analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Proven ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications
  • Deep knowledge of Synchrony Platforms and Systems

Desired Skills/Knowledge:

  • Minimum 5+ years of Audit, Testing, Surveillance
  • Knowledge of process and systems related to Growth and/or Supplier Management
  • Strong experience with process maps, CTCs, CTQs, Process Universe, risk and control analysis and documentation, and other key governance elements.
  • Deep knowledge of Synchrony Platforms and Systems
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience applying analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Proven ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with various levels of stakeholders

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Bachelor's degree with minimum 4+ years in Financial Services industry, or in lieu of a degree 6+ years in Financial Services industry
  • Minimum 2+ years of Audit, Testing, Surveillance
  • Minimum 3+ years in consumer banking laws and regulations

Work Timing: 3:30 PM – 9:00 PM IST

(WORK TIMINGS: This role qualifies for Enhanced Flexibility and Choice offered in Synchrony India and will require the incumbent to be available between 06:00 AM Eastern Time – 11:30 AM Eastern Time (timings are anchored to US Eastern hours and will adjust twice a year locally). This window is for meetings with India and US teams. The remaining hours will be flexible for the employee to choose. Exceptions may apply periodically due to business needs.
