Job Description

As a Barista at Esprit Noir & Le Rivage, you are the curator of exceptional coffee experiences, delighting guests with your skill, attention to detail, and genuine warmth. Every beverage you craft from a perfectly balanced espresso to a refreshing specialty drink reflects elegance, care, and the artistry synonymous with luxury hospitality.

You will create a welcoming and inviting atmosphere, turning every visit into a moment of comfort and indulgence. With a passion for your craft, you will confidently prepare a wide range of beverages, continually expanding your knowledge to ensure every offering exceeds expectations.

Qualifications

About You

You are a passionate and skilled barista who takes pride in the craft of coffee and creating exceptional guest experiences. With strong experience in a professional coffee environment, you are confident across espresso preparation, coffee extraction, milk texturing, latte art and specialty coffee techniques, consistently delivering quality and beautifully presented beverages.

You understand that great coffee is about more than what is in the cup. You enjoy engaging with guests, sharing your product knowledge and creating personalised experiences through warm, attentive and confident service. Your passion for coffee and natural enthusiasm bring energy to the experience while maintaining the polished and sophisticated standards expected of Sofitel.

You take pride in barista mise en place, machine maintenance, grinder calibration, stock management, coffee presentation, cleanliness and maintaining an organised and beautifully presented coffee station throughout service. You work efficiently under pressure, managing multiple orders while maintaining accuracy, quality and attention to detail.

Confident, personable and professional, you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy being part of a collaborative team. You are flexible and dependable, embracing a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays to deliver service that is both sophisticated and safe.

You hold a current RSA certificate, with full Australian working rights, allowing you to work with us without restriction.
