Job Description:
Who You Are
We are looking for an experienced Bid & Proposal Manager to join our international Bid Management team at our Headquarters in Darmstadt.
You will manage bids of varying complexity and value, working closely with Business Development, Sales, Engineering and other stakeholders to develop high-quality, competitive proposals.
The position is full-time, permanent and hybrid, with an expected start date as soon as possible.
What You Will Focus On
Manage bids and proposals from initial planning through to final submission.
Lead and coordinate cross-functional bid teams and manage multiple bids simultaneously.
Analyse customer requirements and ensure compliant, high-quality proposals.
Coordinate contributions from internal stakeholders, partner companies and subcontractors.
Prepare, review and structure proposal documentation.
Coordinate bid-related activities with functions such as Sales, Engineering, Legal & Compliance, Risk Management and Quality Assurance.
Ensure bid milestones and submission deadlines are met.
Contribute to lessons learned and the continuous improvement of Bid Management processes and templates.
What You Bring
Requirements
3+ years of relevant experience in Bid Management, Proposal Management, Project Management or a comparable commercial role.
Experience managing complex and preferably technical bids or proposals.
Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills, including experience working with cross-functional teams.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Fluency in German and English (C1/C2).
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
A structured, detail-oriented and independent working style.
Advanced MS Word skills.
University degree or equivalent professional experience.
EU citizenship due to security requirements.
Ability to obtain and hold the required German security clearance.
Desirable
Experience working in an engineering-driven or highly technical environment; a technical or engineering background would be an advantage.
Experience in the space, aerospace, defence or another technology-driven industry.
APMP accreditation or comparable Bid Management qualification.
Experience with bid strategy frameworks.
Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce.
