Every day, thousands of listeners start their day with us at Original 106. Whether they're driving to work, preparing for the school run, heading out on deliveries or making their first coffee of the morning, our breakfast shows are part of their routine.

We're looking for a Breakfast Show Producer to help shape that experience.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a live broadcast environment and wants to play a key role in creating engaging, audience-first radio. You'll be at the heart of our breakfast output, working closely with presenters, news teams and colleagues across the wider radio network to ensure every show is compelling, professionally produced and delivered seamlessly.

But this role goes beyond producing great radio.

You'll also take ownership of the production systems, workflows and assets that keep our stations running smoothly, helping to strengthen consistency, reliability and collaboration across the network.

What you'll be doing

As Breakfast Show Producer, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day production and delivery of our breakfast programme, ensuring it remains engaging, technically sound and audience-focused.

You'll:

• Produce and coordinate live breakfast output
• Support presenters with programme planning, timings and content flow
• Deliver presenting shifts and programme cover across the network when required
• Create and manage production elements including sweepers, credits, beds and audio assets
• Ensure automation systems and schedules are accurate and ready ahead of broadcast
• Work closely with Radio News to integrate bulletins and news content effectively
• Support outside broadcasts and special programming activity
• Maintain production libraries and shared assets across the network
• Identify opportunities to improve workflows, processes and production consistency
• Act as a key contact for day-to-day production and technical queries

Requirements

What we're looking for

You'll have experience working in a radio or audio production environment and understand what it takes to deliver great live content.

We're particularly interested in people who can combine creativity with organisation, keeping programmes sounding great while ensuring the systems behind them remain reliable and efficient.

You'll likely bring:

• Experience producing live radio, audio or broadcast content
• Strong understanding of broadcast workflows and production techniques
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Confidence working under pressure in a live environment
• Audio editing and production experience
• The ability to build strong relationships with presenters, journalists and technical teams
• A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement
• A passion for creating great audience experiences

Experience of presenting, voice tracking or providing on-air cover would be advantageous but isn't essential.
