What you'll do
- Manage the Building Controller pager during your shift and handle all associated tasks.
- Take responsibility for opening and closing the building.
- Sign in and out with the Contractors Control room, count on-site personnel numbers, and relay this information to the control room.
- Complete weekly exercises on Mondays and monthly exercises at the beginning of the month, ensuring all required paperwork is maintained.
- Act as the Deputy during site emergencies, assist in running exercises, and serve as both a First Aider and Fire Warden.
- Count and coordinate respirators.
- Produce, control, and maintain Commissioning Life Time Records.
- Copy, scan, and store documents electronically within the document management system (EDMS).
- Retrieve files as requested by project personnel and perform other necessary administrative duties.

Are you ready to play a vital role in a historic, 100-year environmental clean-up programme? We are actively seeking a highly organised, adaptable professional for a dual role as a Building Controller and Technical Clerk. This is a unique opportunity to directly support a landmark environmental project while working on a structured shift pattern.
Contract & Location DetailsRate: £21 per hour, Umbrella.
Contract Duration: ASAP to 06/09/2027.
Shift Pattern: 4 days on, 4 days off, working either 6am - 6pm or 6pm - 6am.
Location: Sellafield Complex, Cumbria
