  • Lead annual planning, trade and target setting, plan development, optimization, and forecast governance across the HCNA business.

  • Partner with CBMs and Finance to assess ROI, improve trade efficiency, and support disciplined funding decisions.
  • Own the incremental funding process, including prioritization, financial guardrails, and clear recommendations.
  • Monitor spend performance monthly to reconcile plans, mitigate risks, and optimize reinvestment.

JOB PURPOSE
This role translates HCNA brand, category, channel, and customer strategies into clear, executable commercial plans and builds the planning, governance, and operating discipline required to deliver consistent, aligned growth.
As part of the Business Development Center of Excellence, this role creates clarity from complexity - simplifying ways of working, strengthening core routines (MBR, R&O, S&OP), and enabling one connected view of performance, investment, and risk across CS&P, Field Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain.


This is a builder role for a commercially minded leader who can streamline how the business operates and translate strategy into execution at scale.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Planning & Customer Growth

  • Lead annual planning, trade and target setting, plan development, optimization, and forecast governance across the HCNA business.
  • Translate brand, category, channel, and customer strategies into clear, executable commercial plans and focused growth bets for the field.
  • Identify and prioritize customer growth opportunities across channels, including resource needs, execution requirements, and commercial implications.

Trade & Investment Effectiveness

  • Lead trade investment governance, ensuring transparency, productivity, and alignment with HCNA strategy.
  • Partner with CBMs and Finance to assess ROI, improve trade efficiency, and support disciplined funding decisions.
  • Own the incremental funding process, including prioritization, financial guardrails, and clear recommendations.
  • Monitor spend performance monthly to reconcile plans, mitigate risks, and optimize reinvestment.

Center of Excellence Capability Building & Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Act as a day-to-day commercial integrator across CS&P, Field Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain.
  • Reinforce clear roles, decision rights, tools, and operating routines that reduce duplication and increase speed to action.
  • Build and improve commercial processes and systems to enable stronger execution, better governance, and more scalable ways of working.
  • Manage one Business Development Analyst, including prioritization, coaching, development, and quality of analytics and decision support.

Critical Success Measures

  • Improved forecast accuracy, risk visibility, and MBR / S&OP discipline.
  • Transparent, productive trade and incremental investment decisions.
  • Reduced duplication and improved decision clarity across CS&P, Field Sales, and cross-functional partners.
  • Stronger, simpler commercial routines and systems that improve speed, accountability, and execution consistency.

Required Qualifications

Pay: The pay range for this position is $103,000 to $154,400. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs. 

Bonus: This position is bonus eligible. 

Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
