Business Operations Manager - Strategic Sales Transformation

Your Impact

Serves as a strategic business partner to leadership by providing business insight, performance analysis, and recommendations that inform prioritization, investment decisions, and profitable growth strategies. Translates business strategy, market demand, bookings, backlog, pipeline, and revenue plans into operational, workforce, and execution plans, leveraging AI-enabled forecasting and scenario analysis where appropriate. Evaluates business performance, delivery readiness, and supply-demand alignment across roles, skills, geographies, service types, and operating channels to identify risks, constraints, and opportunities. Develops and applies business metrics, reporting, dashboards, forecasting, and scenario analyses, using data, automation, and AI-enabled tools to improve visibility, planning effectiveness, and decision-making. Recommends actions to optimize resource deployment, operating model segmentation, and cost structure in alignment with customer commitments, utilization, productivity, and margin objectives. Identifies operational and financial risks and drives mitigation planning to protect customer outcomes, business performance, and growth priorities. Establishes cross-functional governance, planning rhythms, and operating mechanisms that align stakeholders, support trade-off decisions, and enable disciplined execution, including adoption of AI-enabled tools and operational practices. Scope increases by grade from supporting defined operational activities and analyses within a team or function to leading cross-functional, regional, theater-wide, or global strategy, governance, transformation, and scaled AI-enabled operational capabilities.

What You'll Do:
• Leads function-wide or multi-region operational planning, governance, and optimization initiatives
• Typically provides operational guidance across multiple regions, processes, or technology platforms, influencing diverse stakeholders, operational strategy, and execution
• Drives prioritization by evaluating timing, impact, and trade-offs across operational programs
• Manages cross-functional planning and execution to align resources
• Resolves barriers and mitigates risks to maintain momentum
• Drives advanced analytics projects to uncover systemic inefficiencies by integrating AI-generated insights to advise leadership
• Advises leadership on operational risks and opportunities
• Oversees the design and selection of tools, frameworks, and practices that drive operational excellence across the function
• Partners with cross-functional teams to implement scalable, customer-centric solutions
• Applies deep product and service knowledge to identify systemic risks and opportunities for optimization
• Builds alignment across business units to drive enterprise-wide collaboration and AI-adoption
• Applies strategic knowledge of Cisco’s portfolio to influence decision-making
• Leads with executive presence in high-stakes conversations and planning sessions
• Champions a culture of learning, agility, and psychological safety

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors + 8 years of related experience, or​ Masters + 6 years of related experience, or​ PhD + 3 years of related experience, or ​equivalent relevant work experience​.

Preferred Qualifications

Business and financial trainings and certifications preferred, e.g.: Power BI (DAX – Data Analysis Expressions, Enterprise Architecture), Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
