Business Performance Analyst

Job Description:

Huntsman Corporation is now looking for a dynamic individual as a Business Performance Analyst.

The general purpose of the job is;

•            To provide accurate, timely, and insight driven business performance analytics enabling rapid decisions in dynamic market conditions across ISC & Middle East.

•            To strengthen financial discipline, transparency, and commercial rigor across the regions.

•            To act as a key business partner to Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, and Pricing teams by delivering performance insights, pricing intelligence, and planning support.

This position will be based in Mumbai, India.

As a Business Performance Analyst, you will: 

1. Commercial & Financial Analytics

•            Conduct insightful analysis on customer/product/segment profitability and highlight drivers impacting CM and EBITDA performance.

•            Support costing, fixed cost control, and cost out initiatives in partnership with Operations and Procurement.

•            Deliver CM to EBITDA actuals, variance analyses, and scenario modelling for decision making.

•            Lead data driven pricing recommendations by translating RM/FX/TP cost movements into timely pricing actions.

2. Planning & Forecasting

•            Drive the planning and forecasting cadence for ISC & Middle East (Budget, BOM, Fixed Cost, Rolling Forecasts).

•            Ensure accuracy, insightfulness, and timeliness of financial submissions and performance outlook.

•            Partner with region leaders to identify risks, opportunities, and business levers.

3. Business Performance Reporting

•            Prepare daily/weekly/monthly performance packs across Sales, Operations, Supply Chain and Commercial functions.

•            Support leadership reviews through dashboards, trackers, KPI reports, and project follow ups.

•            Identify anomalies, root causes, and corrective actions through proactive performance monitoring.

4. Cross Functional Collaboration

•            Work closely with R2R, Shared Services, Supply Chain, Sales, and Operations to ensure smooth month end closure and data integrity.

•            Provide required inputs and clarifications to shared services ensuring accuracy and compliance.

•            Support tax related topics, import data tracking, and commercial policy adherence as required.

5. Tools, Systems & Data

•            Use IBM, SAP and BI tools for analytics and reporting.

•            Maintain high proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and build crisp, insightful presentations.

•            Maintain data accuracy, timeliness, and completeness across all performance systems and reports.

•            Develop improved templates, automated dashboards, and streamlined business performance processes.

•            Act as an extended arm of the Performance team in driving business cadence and maintaining tight control over reporting timelines.

•            Apply strong analytical thinking to large volumes of data and convert insights into impactful business recommendations.

•            Be a gatekeeper of finance policy & accounting standards

What skills and experiences are we looking for?

•            Graduate in Commerce/Finance with an advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Analytics preferred.

•            Strong business and commercial acumen with good understanding of manufacturing/chemical industry dynamics.

•            3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Business Performance, FP&A, Commercial Finance, or related analytical roles.

•            Strong analytical and problem solving skills; ability to identify risks and opportunities proactively.

•            Excellent interpersonal, communication, and cross functional collaboration skills.

•            High proficiency in spreadsheets, presentations, and dashboarding tools.

•            Ability to work under pressure, manage deadlines, and maintain quality of insights.

•            Strong leadership qualities, proactive mindset, and ability to influence stakeholders.

•            Ability to interpret financial and commercial drivers to support strategic decisions.
