Job Summary**

Primoris Heavy Civil is seeking skilled Carpenters for road construction projects in Houston, TX. This role involves constructing and repairing wooden structures, concrete forms, and other carpentry-related tasks essential to heavy civil infrastructure development.

Job Responsibilities**

* Construct, erect, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard, using carpenter's hand tools and power tools.
* Build and dismantle concrete forms, shoring, and scaffolding according to blueprints and specifications.
* Measure, cut, or shape wood, plastic, fiberglass, drywall, and other materials.
* Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements.
* Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures.
* Work with other craftspeople such as concrete finishers, ironworkers, and laborers to ensure project completion.
* Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, and maintain a safe working environment.
* Operate and maintain hand and power tools safely and effectively.
* Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Qualifications**

* High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Carpenter in heavy civil construction, road construction preferred.
* Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings.
* Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials.
* Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting heavy objects, standing for long periods, and working in various weather conditions.
* Commitment to safety and adherence to all safety regulations.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Reliable transportation to and from job sites in the Houston, TX area.
* OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
