Job Description

We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Chef de Partie to join our Kitchen team on a full-time basis.

In this role, you will support the Executive Chef and Sous Chef in delivering exceptional culinary experiences while maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, food safety and kitchen operations. You will take ownership of your designated section and play a key role in mentoring junior team members and ensuring smooth service operations.

You will be responsible for:

  • Preparing and presenting high-quality dishes in accordance with established recipes and brand standards
  • Proven experience working on grill and hot pan sections in a high-volume kitchen environment
  • Managing your designated kitchen section to ensure efficient service and food consistency
  • Supervising kitchen operations in the absence of senior chefs as required
  • Maintaining stock rotation practices and minimising food wastage
  • Assisting with ordering, stock control and ensuring adequate mise en place for service
  • Coaching and supporting mor junior kitchen team members
  • Ensuring all kitchen areas, equipment and workstations are maintained to the highest cleanliness standards
  • Liaising with Food & Beverage and Conference & Events teams to ensure seamless guest experiences
  • Supporting conference, event and restaurant operations with high-quality food production
  • Complying with all food safety, HACCP, WHS and hygiene requirements

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about food, thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment, and enjoys developing their culinary skills while contributing to a collaborative team culture.

Qualifications

We're looking for someone with:

  • Relevant trade qualifications in Commercial Cookery
  • Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or an experienced Demi Chef in a hotel, restaurant or catering environment
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, HACCP and kitchen hygiene standards
  • Experience supervising or mentoring junior kitchen staff
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • A genuine passion for quality food and hospitality
  • Strong attention to detail and presentation standards
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure in a dynamic environment
  • A positive attitude and commitment to teamwork
  • Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
