About this role

The Pen is looking for enthusiastic and passionate Casual Cooks and Chefs de Partie to join our kitchen team!

Located right on the Mandurah waterfront, The Peninsula is a busy and vibrant venue offering everything from pub favourites and shared plates through to seasonal, produce-driven dishes. With lunch and dinner service 7 days a week, live entertainment, functions and a busy events calendar, there’s plenty happening in the kitchen.

We’re looking for chefs who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, take pride in their food and want to be part of a supportive kitchen team.

About the role

As a Casual Cook or CDP, you’ll be involved across day-to-day kitchen operations, working as part of a team to deliver quality food during busy services.

Depending on your experience, you’ll have the opportunity to take responsibility for your section, contribute to food preparation and service, and help maintain the high standards expected across the kitchen.

About you

  • Previous experience in a commercial kitchen

  • Experience as a Cook or CDP, depending on the position

  • Passion for food and a strong work ethic

  • Ability to work effectively in a busy kitchen

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Good understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene

  • Reliable and willing to work a range of shifts

  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn

  • Ability to remain calm and organised during busy services
