Job Description
A Chinese Chef is responsible for preparing authentic Chinese cuisine, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring high culinary standards and food safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a wide variety of Chinese dishes, maintaining authentic taste and presentation standards
- Develop and test new recipes to enhance the menu and introduce innovative dishes
- Supervise kitchen staff, delegate tasks efficiently, and ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and hygiene in the kitchen at all times
- Order and manage kitchen inventory, ensuring freshness and quality of ingredients
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Balance flavors and techniques in wok cooking, noodle preparation, and other traditional Chinese methods
- Manage Food Cost
- Prepare Pecking Duck
- Work alongside a budget
- Prepare Sushi
Qualifications
Needs to have minimun 3 - 5 years experience as Chinese Chef in a 5 star property (MANDATORY)
