Cloud Native Solutions Engineer

SAIC is seeking a Senior Full Stack Cloud Native Developer in Colorado Springs, CO to support the development of mission-critical military/intel/air force solutions that address complex operational and technical challenges. The successful candidate will design, build, deploy, and sustain cloud-native applications as part of a rapid prototyping team while working closely with software engineers, data engineers, DevSecOps engineers, and systems engineers to rapidly develop and transition prototype capabilities into operational use.  The ideal candidate enjoys solving complex integration problems, delivering working software in short iterations, and operating across the full technology stack.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement modern cloud-native applications, including responsive web front ends (React, Angular, Vue) and scalable backends (Java, C#, Go, Python).
• Build, deploy, and manage microservices using Kubernetes, REST/GraphQL APIs, Kafka, and messaging frameworks.
• Create event-driven applications and integrate with data pipelines, analytics, and ingestion services in collaboration with data engineers.
• Work with cyber engineers on tasks like authentication and security (e.g., Trivy scans).
• Develop automated CI/CD pipelines in partnership with DevSecOps teams.
• Participate in architecture decisions, technical design reviews, mission requirements analysis, and Agile Scrum development.
• Troubleshoot, optimize application performance, mentor junior developers, and conduct code reviews.
