What you'll do
- Set-up and operation of CNC Lathe with minimum supervision.
- Use support equipment safely.
- Work from blueprints and verbal instructions to select tooling, set up, and operate machines.
- Determine speeds and feeds.
- Produce product in accordance with standards of performance, quality, and safety.
- Write CNC Lathe programs from blueprints.
- Use inspection and measuring instruments (mics, bore gauges, calipers).
- Perform spiral grooving.
- Hold close tolerance work to .0005 inch.
- Follow written set-up sheets and verbal instructions.
- Use support equipment like Boring Bar and Steadyrest.
