  • Escalate unit issues that cannot be resolved to supervisor and/or manager
  • Ensure all required data collection is correct and complete
  • Responsible for ensuring all units are operating correctly
  • Be on location for every test performed
  • Perform corrective action as needed based on failed emissions testing
  • Follow-up tests when out of compliance
  • One day per week spent on preparing/submitting reports
  • Weekly Communication with supervisor on any compliance issues, an update of weekly schedule
  • Maintain communications with emissions, operations and customers

Position Summary

The Commissioning Technician is responsible for ensuring that compressions units are operating safely upon assessing, adjusting and cleaning. He/she must comply with all company procedures and develop and maintain customer relationships. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Complete assessment of unit including any needed calibrations, cleanings, controls or system checks per Kodiak standards

Physical Demands

  • Ability to travel up to 50 - 75% of the time.
  • Overtime, extended or non-traditional working hours may be required
  • Must be able to stand or walk on uneven terrain, climb personnel stairs and ladders, stoop, squat and/or crawl depending on the directed task
  • Exposure to extreme temperatures, weather conditions and environments on a location-by-location basis
  • High noise environment (>85 dbA) will occur with ear protection
  • Potential controlled, exposure to hazardous chemicals
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Standing, kneeling, bending, squatting, twisting for long periods of time
  • Climb ladders up to 25 feet
  • Ability to use common hand tools related to job needs
