What you'll do

  • Close liaison with Client’s representative to fulfil the project’s quality requirements
  • Establish and maintain good coordination with Contractors and Consultants
  • Perform audit/ field inspection to Contractors as requested by the Client
  • Review and/ or approve all ITP and Checklist
  • Perform site walk with Client and or Consultant to ensure quality requirements are met.
  • Recruiting qualified QC personnel as required
  • Plan for witnessing the commissioning based on the available resources
  • Present the quality related issue to the Client weekly and escalate any significant issue for resolution
  • Attend & ensure Kick off Meeting of vendors are performed
  • Attend weekly coordination meeting with Client, Consultants and Contractors
  • Attend specific weekly coordination meeting with Contractors, vendors, consultants and Clients in regard to resolution of technical issues
  • Manage the receipt, review and compliance of project commissioning documentation to achieve the necessary sign off

  • Leadership experience
  • Consultant PM experience specifically with a background delivering best in class large scale mission critical projects and have a detailed knowledge of Data Centre pre-construction, build to and handover / commissioning as well as post turn over processes
  • Availability for on-site work

  • A Bachelor’ degree in engineering or a related field is considered beneficial for the role
  • Experience and proficiency with online document management applications is a strong plus

Job Description

Turner & Townsend are leaders in professional services to the Data Centre sector globally. Due to the continued success and expansion of our Data Centre business in the Nordics area we are currently recruiting for an experienced Quality Control & Commissioning Manager for construction projects to join our Data Centre team in Cedar Rapids, IA.

Responsibilities:

  • Close liaison with Client’s representative to fulfil the project’s quality requirements​
  • Establish and maintain good coordination with Contractors and Consultants​

  • Manage a team of Commissioning Engineers and Vendors
  • Equipment Installation Oversight
  • Supervise the installation of new equipment, systems, and facilities
  • Inspect and verify the correct functioning of electrical, mechanical, and environmental control systems
  • Testing and Verification: Conduct tests to ensure operational efficacy
  • Prepare and deliver Commissioning reports, progress, issues log and Risks
  • Manage the close out of commissioning risks & issues with the Contractors & Vendors.
  • Verify the integrity and performance of critical systems
  • Approve the finalization of the project based on successful testing

Qualifications
