The Trager Institute is seeking a Communications and Marketing Specialist II to manages all outreach, marketing, and applicant pipeline activities for the Rural Outreach, Opportunity, and Training for Sustainable Workforce (ROOTS) Program. This includes designing and distributing print and digital recruitment materials, representing ROOTS at AHEC events, workforce development convenings, and community health fairs, and coordinating with AHEC, ADD, and CBO partners to identify eligible rural candidates for each cohort.
Additionally, this position maintains the ROOTS applicant tracking system and program correspondence, manages cohort enrollment and waitlists, prepares required recruitment reporting for the RHTP Workforce Workgroup, and completes other administrative tasks as needed for the success of the program. Close communication with the grant leadership team, trainees, and state leadership is necessary. Ensuring the implementation of the grant work plan is necessary to remain compliant with funder expectations and guidelines.
This position is grant funded and continued employment is contingent upon those funds.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Designing and distributing recruiting materials, representing the ROOTS program at community events, supporting the grant team in identifying eligible training candidates, developing and implementing grant related activities to work toward grant goals.
Updating Trager executive staff on grant progress and meeting required grant reporting deadlines.
This position may require occasional travel to meet with others. May also require occasional weekend work.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous work experience on grants, experience in community health work, and knowledge of various rural community resources and services.
Previous work with professional teams and in the healthcare setting to ensure an understanding of evaluation, grant implementation and work applications for community health work.
Experience using digital tools to develop effective recruitment materials.

Target Compensation Maximum:
$72,389.00Target Compensation Minimum:
$48,225.00Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
