About this role

Background

At TCLA, we’re building the home of the world’s best legal talent.

This is made up of two parts: technology and community.

As a Community Assistant, you will be the backbone of the community.

That means acting as the central point of contact for thousands of students.

Roles and Responsibilities

The TCLA forum is completely free.

Up to 75,000 students and graduates each year use it to get access to high quality information to understand how to pursue a legal career, while law firms use the forum to attract the most talented applicants.

Across our Forum and WhatsApp groups, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Responding to questions
  • Moderating content
  • Writing threads
  • Launching giveaways
  • Maintaining our deadlines and lists
  • Managing the SQE and Future Trainees group chat, and
  • Supporting the creation of other resources such as Application Guides.

What We Look For

You will be a future trainee with a 1 year gap before starting at your law firm. Ideally, you will have completed the SQE.

A successful applicant will have the following:

  1. A very high standard of writing
  2. An ability to deliver specific written communication
  3. A deep understanding of multiple law firm processes
  4. A supportive tone and deep empathy about the challenges of the law firm process
