Consultant Paediatrician

A major hospital in Darwin is seeking an experienced and dedicated Consultant Paediatrician to join its busy and rapidly evolving Child Health Service. This is an exceptional opportunity to work in one of the most clinically diverse regions in the country, serving urban, regional, and remote communities across the Top End.

This role is ideal for a paediatrician passionate about acute care, Indigenous health, rural outreach, and delivering high-impact medicine within a supportive, multidisciplinary environment.

The Opportunity

You will join a skilled team providing paediatric care across:

  • A busy paediatric inpatient unit
  • Special Care Nursery / neonatal resuscitation
  • Paediatric emergency consults
  • Outpatient and specialty clinics
  • Remote and rural outreach (in-person and via telehealth)

This hospital is a key referral centre for complex paediatric presentations across remote communities, offering a rare blend of tertiary-level medicine and meaningful community impact.

We are seeking a Paediatrician who brings:

  • FRACP in General Paediatrics, or equivalent

  • Interest or experience in Indigenous health and rural/remote paediatrics (highly regarded)
  • A collaborative, adaptable and culturally respectful approach
