Job Description

Are you ready to challenge the boundaries of what's possible?

We are seeking a Consultant Transport Planner to join our industry leading Transport Planning team to help deliver projects a diverse range of project. You would become an integral part of a respected team in Northern Ireland, with the role providing excellent career prospects and every opportunity for you to make your mark and influence the continuing sustainable growth of the regional transport planning team and wider AECOM business.

This role brings opportunity to engage in the delivery of a range of transport planning studies including (but not limited to) local transport plans, business case development, major transport schemes, monitoring and evaluation, active travel interventions and public transport strategies.

You will also be given the ability to pursue relevant business and technical training to support your career development as well as the freedom to grow your network and develop innovative solutions to chase new opportunities.

You will work within a large and collaborative team to support the delivery of a diverse range of Transport Planning work within our regional and national portfolio including:

  • Department for Infrastructure
  • Translink
  • Transport Infrastructure Ireland
  • National Transport Authority
  • Local authorities

Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • You will have knowledge and demonstrable experience of a range of transport planning skills and with some experience of project management.
  • Recent experience in business case development, transport plans, strategic transport studies, transport modelling or monitoring and evaluation would be advantageous, but more importantly we are looking for candidates with a passionate about learning and have a curious mindset to assist clients in learning about ‘what works’ and why?
  • We expect excellent written and oral communication skills which we will continue to develop.
