What you'll do

  • Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process for Santa Clarita operations, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and management reporting deliverables.
  • Oversee general ledger accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, and fixed assets/construction-in-progress (CIP).
  • Partner with plant operations and engineering leadership on cost accounting, standard costing, and capital project accounting.
  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls and standard operating procedures (SOPs) over multi-site accounting operations.
  • Own the consolidation of financial results across all DrinkPAK subsidiary entities (CA, TX, and PA), including the elimination of intercompany transactions and balances.
  • Prepare consolidated financial statements, including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow, in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Design, implement, and maintain intercompany accounting policies, transfer pricing methodology, and elimination entries across entities.
  • Partner with site controllers at TX and PA operations to ensure consistent processes, close calendar, and accounting policy application across the enterprise.
  • Prepare and review consolidated and entity-level financial statements for leadership, lenders, and other external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP, including ASC 842 (leases), ASC 360 (fixed assets), and revenue recognition.
  • Support the external audit process, including PBC schedules and audit inquiries at both the entity and consolidated level.
  • Drive continuous improvement of the close process in pursuit of the company's target close timeline.

  • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including multi-entity consolidation and plant/manufacturing controllership; food & beverage or manufacturing experience strongly preferred.

  • Strong ERP systems experience (SAP S/4HANA preferred); advanced Excel skills.

  • Ability to travel periodically to Fort Worth, TX and Philadelphia, PA.

POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Corporate Controller is responsible for the accounting and financial reporting function for DrinkPAK's corporate entity and Santa Clarita operations, and owns the consolidation of financial results across all of DrinkPAK's wholly owned subsidiary operating entities, including Fort Worth, TX and Philadelphia, PA. This role combines hands-on plant controllership at the Santa Clarita operations with enterprise-level consolidation, intercompany accounting, and consolidated external reporting, ensuring accurate, timely, and GAAP-compliant financial statements across DrinkPAK's multi-entity structure. The Corporate Controller reports to the SVP, Accounting and partners closely with site controllers and accounting leads at each subsidiary.

LOCATION: The position is based on-site at DrinkPAK's facility in Santa Clarita, California.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Site Controllership

  • Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process for Santa Clarita operations, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and management reporting deliverables.

  • Oversee general ledger accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, and fixed assets/construction-in-progress (CIP).

  • Partner with plant operations and engineering leadership on cost accounting, standard costing, and capital project accounting.

Process Improvement & Leadership

  • Mentor and develop accounting staff and coordinate functionally with accounting leads at other sites.

  • Identify and help remediate control gaps across accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entry approvals, fixed assets, leases, CIP, and inventory accounting.

  • Support system and process standardization initiatives across DrinkPAK's growing multi-site footprint.
