About this role

Join our dynamic team at ISS STOXX as a Corporate Ratings Analyst in Sustainability Research and help deliver the sustainability insights investors need to make informed decisions. In this role, you will contribute to the production of high-quality sustainability data and analysis that help clients assess the impacts, dependencies, risks, and opportunities associated with business and government activities.

Beyond ratings analysis, you will support our global research team through topical research, data analysis, and other operational activities. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues across multiple regions and contribute to a fast-growing area of investor-focused research.

In this role you will:

  • Review company documents such as sustainability reports, annual reports, and corporate websites.

  • Identify and analyze relevant qualitative and quantitative data in line with ISS Sustainability’s methodology.

  • Monitor sustainability-related developments and trends in various sectors of specialization.

  • Take ownership of production targets and deliver research on time.

  • Follow quality assurance procedures.

What you will bring to ISS STOXX:

  • Proficiency in written Korean language.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree (a degree in a relevant field such as environmental science or international human rights is desirable but not required, knowledge of financial markets and sustainable finance are an advantage).

  • 0-5 years of relevant professional experience.

  • Excellent English language skills, both written and oral.

  • Ability to work independently while adhering to deadlines and balancing production volumes with high quality work.

  • Ability to quickly process large amounts of data, determine the most salient information, and identify key trends.

Compensation: The annualized expected compensation range for this role based in Toronto, ON is $70,000 - $80,000 CAD.   The compensation range indicated for this role consists of a base salary and eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus. Bonuses are awarded at the company’s discretion and are not guaranteed.  Bonuses may vary based on individual, department, and overall company performance.

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and level of education.
