Job Summary

Mass General Brigham Office of the Chief Medical Officer (OCMO) is seeking an experienced Data Analyst II to join a high-performing analytics team focused on healthcare data, reporting, and clinical data product development. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, translating data into actionable insights, and partnering with stakeholders across a large healthcare system.

Role Overview
Reporting to the High Reliability Organization (HRO) Analytics Manager, the Data Analyst II will support a cross-functional team responsible for developing clinical data products across areas such as Quality, Safety, Health Equity, Community Health, Patient Experience, Provider Wellbeing, Credentialing, Pharmacy, and Formulary.

Key Responsibilities
• Collect, analyze, and report data to support daily operations, strategic planning, and business performance decisions.
• Collate, model, interpret, and analyze healthcare and operational data.
• Identify trends, explain variances, and communicate findings in a clear and accessible way.
• Develop and maintain exploratory analyses, reports, dashboards, and data visualizations in partnership with analytics engineers and visualization developers.
• Create clear business definitions and documentation for data products.
• Complete thorough quality assurance procedures to ensure accuracy, reliability, trustworthiness, and validity of work.
• Perform source-to-target data validation for dashboards, reports, and visualizations.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in analysis or a related field required.

Experience

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear insights for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Healthcare knowledge, especially related to electronic medical record data, preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of statistical analyses, including variance analysis and statistical significance, preferred.
  • Project management skills or experience are a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
