Data / Solutions Architect

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Data / Solutions Architect to design, build, and lead scalable enterprise data and AI solutions. This role involves working closely with business stakeholders, engineering teams, and leadership to deliver robust, secure, and high-performance data platforms across cloud environments.
The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in modern data architectures, cloud platforms, AI/ML solutions, and pre-sales consulting, along with strong stakeholder engagement and solutioning skills.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Architecture & Design

  • Design and implement end-to-end data architectures including Data Lakes, Lakehouse, and Data Warehouses.
  • Build scalable batch and streaming data pipelines using modern data engineering frameworks.
  • Architect enterprise-grade solutions using Databricks, Delta Lake, and Unity Catalog.
  • Define architecture standards, best practices, governance frameworks, and reference architectures.

Cloud & Platform Expertise

  • Lead architecture and implementation across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Design multi-cloud and hybrid data platforms.
  • Optimize data platforms for performance, scalability, security, and cost efficiency.

Data Engineering & AI Integration

  • Enable advanced analytics, AI/ML, and Generative AI solutions.
  • Implement ML lifecycle management using MLflow.
  • Design and deploy RAG-based applications, Vector Search, AI agents, and AI-powered analytics.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and engineering teams to operationalize AI/ML models.

Pre-Sales & Solution Consulting

  • Partner with Sales, Business Development, and Customer Success teams to support new business opportunities.
  • Engage with customers to understand business challenges and translate them into scalable data and AI solutions.
  • Lead discovery workshops, solution discussions, and technical presentations with customers and executive stakeholders.
  • Prepare solution architectures, technical proposals, Statements of Work (SOWs), effort estimations, and response documents for RFPs/RFIs/RFQs.
  • Develop architecture diagrams, solution documentation, and value propositions tailored to customer requirements.
  • Conduct product demonstrations, proof of concepts (POCs), and technical assessments.
  • Provide technical leadership during customer discussions and act as a trusted advisor throughout the sales cycle.

Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with business leaders, product owners, and executive stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Lead architecture reviews, technical workshops, and roadmap discussions.
  • Provide thought leadership and technical guidance across delivery teams.

Delivery & Optimization

  • Oversee successful implementation of enterprise data platforms.
  • Conduct performance tuning through partitioning, clustering, indexing, and optimization strategies.
  • Drive cloud cost optimization initiatives and platform efficiency improvements.
  • Mentor architects, engineers, and technical teams.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

  • 8–12+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Analytics, Data Architecture, or Solution Architecture.
  • Proven experience as a Data Architect, Solutions Architect, or AI Architect.
  • Experience supporting pre-sales engagements, customer solutioning, technical proposals, and architecture presentations.
  • Hands-on experience delivering enterprise-scale cloud data platforms.

Technical Skills

  • Strong expertise in the Databricks ecosystem and Lakehouse Architecture.
  • Expertise in:
    • Delta Lake
    • Unity Catalog
    • Data Modeling (Kimball & Medallion Architecture)
    • ETL/ELT Design
    • Python
    • SQL
    • Apache Spark
  • Experience with stream processing frameworks.
  • Familiarity with:
    • MLflow
    • Vector Search
    • BI platforms
    • AI/GenAI analytics solutions.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Generative AI, RAG, AI Agents, and LLM-based applications.
  • Databricks, AWS, Azure, or GCP certifications.
  • Experience in customer-facing solution consulting and enterprise architecture.
  • Exposure to industries such as Banking, Healthcare, Retail, Manufacturing, or FMCG.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, security, compliance, and FinOps.
