Dental Assistant/Receptionist - Maven Dental Maroochydore

Company Description

We're looking for a Casual Dental Assistant/Receptionist to join us at Maven Dental Maroochydore, in a role that covers both chairside assisting and reception.

You'll assist our clinicians through general, restorative and cosmetic appointments, and also spend time at the front desk welcoming patients, managing the diary and handling enquiries. It's a good fit for someone who enjoys variety and likes being across both sides of the practice.

As this is a casual position, shifts will vary from week to week and flexible availability is required.

Job Description

Your responsibilities will include:

• Welcoming patients and handling general enquiries in person and over the phone
• Managing appointments, bookings and patient recalls
• Processing payments and maintaining accurate patient records
• Providing chairside assistance across general, restorative and cosmetic procedures
• Preparing treatment rooms and assisting clinicians during appointments
• Sterilising and maintaining dental instruments and equipment
• Following infection control procedures and maintaining a clean clinical environment
• Supporting stock control and other day-to-day practice tasks

Qualifications

To succeed in the role, you will bring:

• Previous experience as a Dental Assistant, with a working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
• Confidence on reception, including bookings, enquiries and payment processing
• Warm interpersonal skills and clear, calm communication
• Strong attention to detail and solid organisational habits
• Experience using EXACT dental software
• A Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting (advantageous)
