Deputy Shift Lead (Moorebank NSW)

At a glance:

As a Deputy Shift Lead based at our highly automated customer site in Moorebank, Sydney, you will join Toyota Automated Logistics, a global leader in warehouse automation, supporting one of Australia's most advanced automated picking solution sites. This hands-on leadership role offers the opportunity to work with industry-leading technology while driving operational excellence, team performance, equipment reliability, and customer satisfaction within a 24/7 operation.

Your Impact:

  • Support the Shift Leader in coordinating daily maintenance and operational activities across the site.

  • Lead and coach technicians through hands-on guidance, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

  • Respond to system faults, outages, and escalations to maximise equipment availability and operational performance.

  • Monitor maintenance activities using the CMMS, ensuring accurate reporting and effective asset management.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reliability, and service delivery.

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, quality, and operational standards across all activities.

  • Support the achievement of key performance indicators related to system performance, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence.

What makes you a great fit?​

  • Qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience working within automated warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or industrial environments.

  • Previous experience leading or mentoring technical teams in a fast-paced operational setting.

  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to interpret equipment diagnostics and performance data.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders.
