About this role

Assess developmental milestones in children across motor, cognitive, social, emotional, and communication domains Identify developmental delays and functional challenges Plan and implement individualized development therapy programs Use play-based and activity-based therapeutic approaches Work with children with developmental delays, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, cerebral palsy, and learning difficulties Promote age-appropriate skills such as attention, behavior regulation, self-help, and social interaction Conduct one-to-one and group therapy sessions Collaborate with occupational therapists, speech therapists, psychologists, special educators, and pediatricians Educate and counsel parents/caregivers on home-based activities and strategies Monitor, document, and report child progress regularly Modify therapy goals based on ongoing assessment and outcomes Maintain therapy records in accordance with organizational policies Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and case discussions Ensure a safe, engaging, and child-friendly therapy environment Adhere to ethical, professional, and child-protection standards Requirements Qualification Msc Child Development/PGDCCD Certification or training in developmental therapy / early intervention (preferred) Experience working with children with developmental delays or special needs (freshers with relevant internship may apply) Knowledge of child development milestones and assessment tools Familiarity with conditions such as ASD, ADHD, developmental delay, cerebral palsy, and learning difficulties Ability to design and implement individualized intervention plans Skills in play-based, sensory, and behavior-based therapy approaches Strong communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and team members Patience, empathy, and child-centered attitude Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team Good observation, documentation, and reporting skills Basic computer skills for maintaining therapy records Understanding of ethical standards and child protection policies Willingness to learn and participate in ongoing training and professional development Physical and emotional stamina to engage actively with children
