Development Therapist

About this role

Assess developmental milestones and identify delays in children Design and implement individualized therapy and intervention plans Conduct sessions to enhance: Fine and gross motor skills Cognitive and problem-solving abilities Social, communication, and adaptive skills Use evidence-based therapy techniques for conditions such as: Autism Spectrum Disorder Cerebral palsy Down Syndrome Developmental Delay Monitor and record progress for each child Work closely with parents, caregivers, and teachers to support home and school programs. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including OTs, SLPs, psychologists, and special educators Maintain accurate session notes, reports, and developmental assessments Participate in parent counseling, workshops, and training sessions Requirements Knowledge of child development and early intervention principles Ability to develop individualized developmental programs Patience, empathy, and strong interpersonal skills Excellent observation, assessment, and documentation skills Ability to work with children, parents, and multidisciplinary teams Benefits Collaborative work with OTs, SLPs, psychologists, and special educators Access to therapy tools, developmental kits, and learning resources High job satisfaction from contributing to children’s growth and independence Opportunity to participate in workshops, seminars, and parent education programs
