Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Product Management to lead our product management team and drive the development of innovative software solutions. The Director of Product Management will be responsible for defining product vision, strategy, and roadmap, ensuring alignment with the company’s business objectives, and leading a team of product managers to deliver high-quality products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product management, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for technology and innovation.

Responsibilities:

• Product Vision and Strategy: Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy that aligns with the company’s overall goals and market opportunities.
• Market Analysis: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and opportunities for product innovation and differentiation.
• Roadmap Development: Create and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap, prioritizing initiatives based on business value, customer impact, and technical feasibility.
• Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of product managers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
• Performance Management: Conduct regular performance reviews, set clear objectives, and provide feedback to ensure the growth and success of the product management team.
• Recruitment: Identify staffing needs, participate in the hiring process, and ensure the onboarding of new team members.
• Requirements Gathering: Oversee the gathering and definition of product requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, design, marketing, and sales teams to ensure the successful execution of product initiatives.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure that products meet high standards of quality, usability, and performance.
• Customer Insights: Gather and analyze customer feedback to inform product decisions and improvements.
• User Experience: Advocate for the end-user, ensuring that products deliver an exceptional user experience.
• Market Positioning: Define and execute go-to-market strategies to effectively position products in the market.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience: At least 15+years of experience in product management, with significant experience in a leadership role, preferably within the IT or software industry.
• Product Management Tools: Proficiency with product management and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Asana).
• Data Analysis: Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven decision-making and proficiency in analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Mixpanel).
• Technical Understanding: Solid understanding of software development processes and technologies.
• Leadership: Proven leadership abilities with experience in managing and mentoring product management teams.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey product concepts and strategies to diverse audiences.
• Strategic Thinking: Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and innovatively.
• Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with teams across the organization.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Pragmatic Marketing Certification, or similar.
• Advanced Knowledge: Advanced understanding of agile methodologies and experience with agile product development.
• Industry Experience: Experience in the [specific industry, e.g., finance, healthcare, e-commerce, etc.] is a plus.

Salary Range: INR 25,00,000 - INR 50,00,000 per annum
