In this role, you will implement a strategy that drives long-term, transformational impact for our GFS customers and partners, and lead a team of sellers focused on the largest and most strategic AWS FSI accounts. This role will have direct accountability for sales and revenue performance for the GFS business and will be measured on performance to the growth objectives.

Your customers represent several sub-industries including Banking and Capital Markets, Wealth Management, Insurance, and Fin-Tech. You will be accountable for the ProServe GFS P&L and will collaborate with sales leaders to shape and close large enterprise commitments for customers across AWS.

As Director of Professional Services for GFS, you will grow the business through innovation, including the use of generative and agentic Artificial Intelligence technologies, and collaboration with our partners. You will build and develop diverse teams of leaders that drive customer outcomes using AWS services and solutions.

This opportunity enables you to develop strong relationships with customer C-suite executives (CEO, CFO, CTO, CIO), and to collaborate with the GFS Sales, Partner, Business Development, and Solution Architect teams to build and sell new solutions that are transforming the industry.

Key job responsibilities
- Manage the GFS ProServe P&L against revenue and bookings targets
- Hire and develop a diverse team of ProServe sellers and cloud architects
- Ensure (through matrixed accountability) the successful delivery of projects across all GFS customer accounts
- Oversee high-quality delivery of customized engagements with partners and customers in GFS accounts
- Establish executive and technical relationships with key system integrators (SIs), independent software vendors (ISVs), and managed services providers (MSPs) offering cloud-based IT services and solutions
- Drive joint engagements that help partners succeed in large, complex customer projects on AWS

About the team
AWS Professional Services combines AI-enhanced delivery, specialized solutions, deep industry expertise, and dedicated centers of delivery excellence (VMware, SAP, and more) to help organizations design, build, migrate, and manage their AWS workloads and applications. Businesses get unique access to AWS innovations, proven frameworks, and specialized capabilities to accelerate timelines, reduce risk, and deliver faster time to value.

Basic Qualifications

- 15+ years of professional (or project-based) services sales experience with large GFS companies
- 10+ years leading teams in IT sales, service management, cloud computing, or IT Strategy
- 5+ years leading AIML, generative or agentic AI solution sales
- Proven cloud, consulting, or IT advisory sales or services background; credibility to sell complex, transformational IT consulting engagements
- Strong customer relationship management capabilities, executive presence, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Track record of consulting practice leadership as a manager of managers, with direct ownership of large, high-profile delivery engagements
- Deep/applied industry experience in at least two of the four sub-industry verticals across Global Financial Services (Banking and Capital Markets, Insurance, Wealth Management, Fin-Tech)
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience

Preferred Qualifications

- MS or BS degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, and/or Mathematics (STEM)
- Demonstrated success in previous consulting or IT advisory services roles, including delivery and implementation ownership
- Background leading technical teams through complex, transformational IT consulting engagements
- Proven ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments and to scale systems, processes, and teams across multiple lines of business
