We are currently seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our project team based in Littleconnell, County Kildare. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a major, high-value project and play a key role in the successful delivery of the electrical package.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Assist with the review of drawings, specifications and schedules to support compliance with project requirements, applicable standards and industry guidance.
• Support the review of coordinated construction drawings and technical documentation.
• Assist in the preparation of RFIs and technical queries for issue to the client, design team or consultants.
• Support the review of specialist supplier packages against the project specification and relevant standards.
• Assist with the preparation and tracking of technical submittals for client approval.
• Support the preparation and monitoring of procurement schedules in conjunction with the procurement team.
• Use engineering software tools such as Dialux, Relux, Amtech ProDesign, Navisworks or similar packages where required.
• Assist with the review of BCAR inspection requirements and coordinate with the quality team as needed.
• Support the tracking of LEED and BREEAM requirements and associated submittals where applicable.
• Assist with the preparation of operation and maintenance manuals and project handover documentation.
• Attend client demonstrations, inspections and commissioning activities as required.
• Provide technical support to the project team during construction, commissioning and handover.
• Work closely with senior engineers, project managers, design teams, subcontractors and suppliers to support the successful delivery of the electrical package.

Requirements

• A Level 7 Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Services Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2–4 years’ experience in electrical engineering, electrical project engineering, building services, or a similar role.
• Good understanding of electrical systems from a design, construction, or installation perspective.
• Knowledge of electrical services such as power distribution, lighting, containment, fire alarm, emergency lighting, and general building services systems.
• Ability to support project teams with technical queries, design coordination, site issues, submittals, inspections, and handover documentation.
• Capable of working as part of a project team, taking direction from senior engineers, project managers, design teams, and site teams.
• Good knowledge of relevant Irish electrical, fire alarm, and emergency lighting standards, or a willingness to develop this knowledge.
• Knowledge of engineering software such as Dialux, Relux, Amtech, Navisworks, AutoCAD, or similar packages is desirable but not essential.
• Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
