Project Engineer Electrical

I’m currently recruiting an Electrical Engineer for my client to join a major data centre project in Milan, Italy.

This is a permanent position offering an excellent package and a strong pipeline of major European projects for the next 5+ years.My Client are Irelands Leading contractor in this space and can offer long term work in Milan.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the delivery of electrical engineering activities from design through installation and commissioning.
• Review electrical designs and help resolve technical issues during construction.
• Prepare and manage technical submittals and project documentation.
• Coordinate with construction, BIM, design and supply-chain teams.
• Track electrical equipment procurement and delivery.
• Carry out electrical system walk-downs and support quality inspections.
• Assist with testing, commissioning and final handover.
• Coordinate with specialist vendors and subcontractors.
• Work closely with the wider project team to ensure electrical works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality.

Key Skills:

• Qualification in Electrical Engineering, Building Services or a related discipline.
• Previous experience working as an Electrical Engineer or Project Engineer.
• Good understanding of electrical systems and installations.
• Experience within data centres, commercial, industrial, pharmaceutical or other large construction projects would be beneficial.
• Comfortable working with contractors, vendors and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Able to manage priorities and take ownership of engineering activities.
• Data centre experience is advantageous but not essential.
