Copper River Technologies is seeking a qualified Electrician (Fire Alarm Mechanic) to help keep critical facilities safe and operational as an Electrician (Fire Alarm Mechanic) supporting Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command, Mid-Atlantic (NAVFAC MIDLANT). You’ll play an important role in protecting people and property by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing fire alarm systems and electrical equipment. This hands-on position is ideal for an experienced electrician or fire alarm mechanic who enjoys solving complex problems, working independently, and applying technical expertise to keep essential systems running.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Install, maintain, test, and repair master fire alarm systems, control panels,

Essential Job Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Licensure:
    • Valid state driver's license
  • Education and Certification:
    • A recognized fire alarm or fire protection qualification, such as NICET, journeyman training, or a comparable credential
    • CPR certification or ability to obtain and maintain certification
  • Required Experience:
    • Journeyman-level experience in electrical, electronic, or fire alarm systems
    • Experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical and electronic systems
  • Required Skill and Competencies:
    • Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code
    • Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings
    • Preferred: Familiarity with UFC 3-601-02, NFPA 72, and NFPA 25
  • Physical Requirements:
    • This is an on-site, hands-on position that may involve working outdoors, in equipment rooms, confined spaces, and at various heights. You should be comfortable lifting up to 40 pounds, climbing ladders, working in tight spaces, and using appropriate personal protective equipment. The role may involve exposure to noise, extreme temperatures, dust, and electrical hazards
  • Additional Requirements
    • Employees must be available to work at assigned sites within their commuting area and may be required to support emergency operations, including after-hours callouts and essential personnel duties
    • Ability to pass a pre-employment and annual physical examination

 

Position Pay Range
$25—$28 USD
