Engineering Manager - Mobile

Job Summary
We’re looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Mobile Engineering team while also frontend the Product Engineer team. You will be responsible for driving the delivery, quality, and growth of a team of 4–10 engineers building seamless, high-impact mobile product experiences used by our customers every day.
This is a hands-off-keyboard leadership role focused on people management, technical direction, and cross-functional execution. You will work closely with Product, Design, Backend, and Platform teams to ensure strong alignment between frontend and platform capabilities, enabling scalable, high-quality software delivery at a sustainable pace.

About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Mobile engineering team. You'll own the delivery, quality, and growth of a team of 4–10 engineers building the product experiences our customers use every day.

This is a hands-off-keyboard leadership role focused on people management, technical direction, and cross-functional execution, partnering closely with Product, Design, and other engineering teams to ship high-quality software at a sustainable pace.

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of experience managing software engineering teams, including a team of 4–10 engineers.

• Hands-on experience building native mobile applications on iOS or Android (experience in at least one platform is required, both is a plus).

• Strong technical understanding of native mobile architecture, app performance, release processes, and engineering best practices.

• A proven track record of delivering high-quality customer-facing features while balancing speed, quality and team health.

• Someone who enjoys coaching engineers, providing candid feedback, and helping them grow into senior and staff-level roles.

• Experience working closely with Product, Design, QA, and Backend teams to turn ideas into great user experiences.

• Comfortable driving sprint planning, prioritization, and execution in an Agile environment.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain progress, risks, and technical trade-offs to stakeholders.

Nice to Have

• Experience leading teams across both iOS and Android.

• Experience with shared mobile platforms, SDKs, or design systems.

• Experience building large-scale consumer mobile applications, especially in media, OTT, or streaming products.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field

• 8- 12 years of experience in software engineering, with significant experience in backend and data engineering systems

• Experience working with large-scale data ecosystems, cloud-native architectures, and modern data infrastructure technologies is preferred
