Job Description

The Automotive Service Technician is responsible for performing vehicle repair and maintenance work as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards. S/he also will oversee the work of any apprentice technician assigned to him/her.

 

Salary: $35 - $55 / flat hour, based on experience and certifications

 

Key Responsibilities

· Diagnose, inspect, and repair vehicles accurately and efficiently in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards.

· Perform work outlined on repair orders, including complex diagnostics and repairs, while maintaining quality and productivity expectations.

· Identify additional safety, maintenance, or repair needs and communicate findings clearly with the Service Advisor.

· Road-test vehicles as needed to verify repairs and ensure proper vehicle operation.

· Maintain accurate documentation of diagnostic findings, repairs, and parts used.

· Collaborate with Service Advisors, Parts, and other technicians to complete repairs efficiently and meet customer expectations.

· Support and mentor apprentice and developing technicians as assigned; share technical knowledge and best practices.

· Stay current on manufacturer training, technical bulletins, diagnostic procedures, safety requirements, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.

 

Master Technician Additional Responsibility

· Serve as a technical resource for the team by assisting with complex diagnostics, difficult repairs, and technical problem-solving.

Qualifications

·       High CSI is a must.

·       ASE or manufacturing training.

·       High school diploma or the equivalent.

·       Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.

·       Manual dexterity.

·       Good Judgment.

·       All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA.

·       All applicants must perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner.

·       All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, drug test, and valid driver license.
