What you'll do

  • Perform research and design work in the field of mobile phone imaging lenses and new optical architectures, solving key challenges through technological innovation, proposing new concepts and ideas and drafting patents
  • Conduct full design cycle, from concept to product, of advanced imaging optical systems, including fixed focal lens, zoom lens, freeform optics, etc.
  • Perform extensive analysis of optical designs, including tolerancing, athermalization, straylight, optimization, etc.
  • Integrate optical development infrastructure at different stages of completion to achieve and grow end-to-end, manufacturing-oriented system-level design, simulation, fabrication and metrology capabilities
  • Go from the analysis of the application requirements, through solution design and system simulation, up to proof of concept and prototyping, identify key challenges and lead the technical breakthrough efforts
  • Deeply understand the background of business and tracking the advanced technologies in the relevant fields, gain industry insights into and explore new technologies and directions
  • Collaborate closely with globally distributed cross-functional teams, combine with top industry resources to achieve the business objectives
  • Participate in academic conferences, publish and present latest research achievements in leading conferences and/or journals, identify top resources and conduct cooperation
  • Establish and grow close collaboration with EU-based leading academic and industry research institutions specialized in advanced imaging optics

  • Strong theoretical knowledge in geometrical, diffractive and/or physical optics. Applicants with a Ph.D. in optics-related fields are preferred

  • Excellent abilities in problem identification, analysis and solving, and systematic and goal-oriented work approach
  • Effective communications skills at both engineering and executive levels
  • Proven ability to be adaptable, self-directed and self-driven in dynamic business conditions
  • English fluency (written and spoken) and ability to cooperate and teamwork effectively in a multicultural workforce

Your mission
