Finance Officer

Our client, a Malta-based company operating in the iGaming sector, is currently looking for a Finance Officer to join their team. Reporting to the Senior Finance Officer, you will be responsible for managing the accounts payable function while supporting the Finance team with daily operations.

This is a hybrid role offering a salary of up to €28K.

Role & Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the accounts payable function, including posting supplier invoices, obtaining the necessary approvals, and processing payments

• Execute supplier payments across multiple group companies and bank accounts in line with the company's payment run process

• Perform supplier statement reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies

• Assist with the preparation of VAT workings for multiple group companies

• Perform bank reconciliations as required

• Complete monthly intercompany balance checks

• Manage accruals and prepayments to ensure accurate financial reporting

• Assist with internal and external audits

• Prepare and support monthly financial reporting

• Support the Finance team with daily operations

• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, company policies, and internal controls

• Support improvements to month-end close and reporting processes

Education, Skills & Requirements

• 1+ year of experience managing the accounts payable function with a Maltese entity

• Good understanding of accounting principles and double-entry bookkeeping

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace

• Experience using Microsoft Navision and JIRA is a plus

• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

• Proactive approach with the ability to manage workloads independently and as part of a team

About the Role

• Salary of €23K – €28K depending on experience

• 10% performance bonus following probation

• Office based in Gżira with hybrid flexibility based on performance
