• Accountable for delivering a quality service and product to customers and stakeholders

• Focuses on quality of delivery to achieve clear outputs within guidelines and precedent

• Runs the organisation's processes and systems following pre-defined procedures 

• Adapts to change, responds with initiative and make suggestions for improvements to own work and processes

Key responsibilities

• Completion of daily and monthly bank reconciliations
• Maintenance of accurate accounting records
• Adherence to CASS rules through monitoring and reconciliation of Client Money accounts
• Oversight of Client Money reconciliations completed by third party administrators
• Production of monthly Client Money and Asset Return to FCA
• Cash balance monitoring and reporting in accordance with internal policies
• Management of foreign currency balances
• Collation and input of electronic bank transfers through the relevant banking systems
• Administration of new bank account set-ups
• Maintain signatories and mandates of existing bank accounts
• Knowledge of the cash flows around the Group and their relation to business changes

Key knowledge, skills & experience:

• Knowledge of client money rules an advantage
• Experience in a financial background including reconciliations
• Ability to work under one’s own initiative
• Good planning and organisational skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Good communication skills
• A flexible and adaptable approach
• Build good relationships internally and externally
• Ability to work within a team environment
