What you'll do
- Manage General Ledger accounting and support the full month-end close process.
- Prepare and post journals, including accruals and prepayments.
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.
- Assist with bank reconciliations and other month-end processes.
- Support Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable activities as required.
- Assist with monthly reporting and financial analysis.
- Maintain accurate financial records and strong financial controls.
- Ensure month-end tasks are completed accurately and within deadlines.
- Work closely with the wider finance team to resolve queries and maintain accurate financial information.
- Support the Accountant and Financial Controller across day-to-day financial accounting activities.

Our client is a well-established FMCG company with a strong portfolio of well-known consumer brands. They are looking for a hands-on Financial Accountant to join their finance team on an initial 8-month contract.
About the Role
This is a hands-on Financial Accountant position, supporting the day-to-day financial accounting function across the business.
You will play an important role within the finance team, taking ownership of key General Ledger activities and supporting an accurate and timely month-end close.
