Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Fleet Manager to join our Motoring division, based primarily at Wetherill Park. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Towing National Supply & Fleet, you will lead the strategy, design and lifecycle management of the NRMA fleet, ensuring our vehicles, tooling and consumables are safe, fit for purpose and cost effective.

This is a highly visible leadership role focused on fleet transformation, EV and emerging vehicle technology adoption, stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement. Leading a team of two, you'll work across the business to balance current operational needs while shaping a future-ready fleet that delivers strong commercial, safety and member outcomes.

 

What You'll Do

• Deliver the NRMA fleet strategy and future fleet roadmap
• Lead EV, hybrid and emerging vehicle technology initiatives
• Oversee vehicle design, replacement and fit-out programs
• Manage vehicle acquisition, maintenance, repair and disposal
• Manage supplier relationships, sourcing and contract performance
• Optimise fleet availability, reliability and lifecycle costs
• Oversee fleet budgets, business cases and tender processes
• Provide fleet reporting, insights and performance recommendations
• Use data to inform investment, maintenance and technology decisions
• Drive fleet governance, compliance and continuous improvement
• Build strong relationships across operations, safety and supplier groups
• Lead, coach and develop the Fleet team
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure regulatory compliance

 

What You'll Bring

• 5+ years' experience in fleet management and vehicle lifecycle planning
• Experience with EVs, hybrid vehicles, emissions reduction and fleet sustainability
• Ability to develop and deliver fleet strategy while balancing operational priorities
• Proven leadership experience, including coaching and developing small teams
• Success leading business transformation, change and technology adoption
• Strong commercial acumen across budgets, business cases, contracts and tenders
• Advanced analytical skills with the ability to turn data into actionable insights
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience influencing diverse groups
• Collaborative leadership style with a partnership-driven approach
• Knowledge of WHS, fleet governance, compliance and environmental requirements
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels
• Growth mindset with the confidence to challenge the status quo and drive improvement
