A fantastic opportunity is available for a General Manager Cloud Engineering reporting to Executive General Manager, Operations Resilience and Secure Technology.

 

A bit about your role

As General Manager, Cloud Engineering, you will lead the modernisation of nbn's technology foundations, enabling secure, scalable and reliable cloud and engineering platforms that support our people, operations and business outcomes. You will help shape the future of how technology is built, delivered and operated across one of Australia's most critical and complex technology environments.

 

Accountable for cloud, infrastructure and engineering platform services, you will drive service ownership, engineering excellence and operational resilience while ensuring these critical technology foundations remain secure, reliable and sustainable over the long term.

 

You will lead the platforms, capabilities and ways of working that enable technology teams to innovate at scale, accelerating engineering productivity through automation, platform engineering, secure development practices and responsible adoption of emerging technologies.

 

As a key member of the Operations, Resilience & Secure Technology leadership team, you will build a high-performing and inclusive culture, develop future capability and influence strategic outcomes across technology and the broader business.

 

A bit about you

You are an accomplished technology leader with experience leading large-scale cloud, infrastructure, platform or engineering services. You combine strategic thinking with operational excellence and have a track record of delivering secure, reliable and resilient technology services while building organisational capability for future growth.

 

You are an inclusive and collaborative leader who builds trusted relationships, influences executive stakeholders and empowers diverse teams around shared outcomes. Experience in platform engineering, developer experience, automation, AI-enabled engineering practices or FinOps within a regulated, critical-infrastructure or large-enterprise environment will be highly regarded.
