Due to continued and strong anticipated growth in our workstreams in the Republic of Ireland (RoI), the Geomatics team have an opportunity for an Associate to join our team in Dublin. The successful candidate will work closely with the GIS and Land Referencing Service Delivery Leads as well as the Land and Property team delivering on infrastructure projects across Ireland. The candidate will also support the Ireland Growth lead with business development activities including tendering and client engagement.  

The role will involve the management of all spatial and property diligence deliverables associated with the delivery of infrastructure projects at all stages from site/route appraisal through to construction. It will also include the provision of strategic advice to clients in relation to property diligence matters and the requirements associated. 

The successful candidate will: 

  • Have experience of working with property records and information systems including Tailte Éireann along with associated knowledge of relevant infrastructure consenting regimes. 
  • Have knowledge and experience of land rights and the methods by which they can be procured either through negotiation or through statutory means including CPOs (Ordú Ceannach Éigeantach) or Statutory Property Notices (Wayleaves/Easements). 
  • Have practical GIS experience and ideally within the property and/or the utility/energy sector. 
  • Have strong knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS software for spatial data capture, management and analysis. 
  • Have project management experience including creation and management of project programmes, forecasts and budgets as well as the ability to provide reports detailing performance against agreed key performance indicators.  
  • Be commercially aware. 
  • Have great leadership qualities. 
  • Be highly driven with strong communication skills. 
  • Have a degree or masters in GIS or a closely related subject such as Geography, Surveying, Land Management with a large GIS component 

 

As a Geomatics Associate you will: 

  • Be a member of the Geomatics Leadership team, working collaboratively with the wider Land Referencing and GIS teams to deliver an excellent innovative service and build strong client relationships. 
  • To influence the direction of the Geomatics team in the Republic of Ireland and to deliver an excellent innovative service. 
  • Build strong client relationships. 
  • Report progress against Dalcour Maclaren’s Republic of Ireland business plan centring on people, service and sustainable growth, innovations, business development/opportunities, good news stories, lessons learnt and own and escalate risks. 
  • Lead in identifying key data sources, engaging with suppliers to licence, obtain and set up the required environment and process to gain best value of them. 
  • Manage projects and requests, ensuring requirements and objectives are met, building positive relationships and taking ownership of the standard of work. 
  • Be able to accurately assess the time requirements of a request and be confident in advising clients and surveyors. 
  • Fully understand all client requirements to provide guidance to junior team members and quality assure deliverables to ensure standards are met at all times. 
  • Support the development of more junior members of staff by line managing, providing feedback and conducting their progress reviews.
