Role Overview

The Network Engineer (EMEA & APAC) is responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and securing enterprise network infrastructure across virtual regional data centers and physical branch offices. Operating within an ITIL-driven framework, this role balances Network Operations (NetOps) tier-2/3 incident resolution with Network Engineering project delivery, including SD-WAN migrations and Cloud Security rollouts.

Key Responsibilities

1. Incident Resolution & Tier-2/3 Escalation

  • Serve as the primary technical escalation point for the Level 1 Network Operations Center (NOC).
  • Diagnose complex network performance bottlenecks, latency issues, and outages to maintain high availability.

2. Infrastructure Deployment & Branch Engineering

  • Lead remote staging, configuration, and provisioning of branch networking hardware.
  • Provide remote technical leadership to field engineers during physical rack-and-stack, cabling, and patching phases.

  • Network Security: Cisco ASA Firewalls, Cloudflare SASE / Zero Trust, IPsec VPN
  • Wireless (WLAN): Aruba Wireless, Aerohive Access Points, Wi-Fi 6
  • Virtualization & SDN: VMware NSX (Microsegmentation), Ivanti Traffic Managers (ADC/Load Balancing)
  • Core Network Services: DNS, DHCP, Proxy Servers, IPAM
