Job Description

The Grain Marketing & Procurement Coordinator will play an important role in supporting these businesses through the execution and administration of grain marketing and procurement activities across Warakirri Cropping and Solterra Agriculture. You will work closely with farm teams, finance, data and commercial stakeholders to coordinate grain movements, maintain accurate inventory and contract records, monitor sales and purchasing activity, and ensure key administration and compliance requirements are met.

The role reports to the Grain Marketing and Supply Chain Manager, who has an impressive career in Grain Marketing and is eager to share their knowledge with you. Their management style is consultative, supportive, and empowering. You’ll be given ownership of your responsibilities while working closely with a range of stakeholders across the business.

What the Grain Marketing & Supply Coordinator does

• Coordinate grain and fertiliser movements across all farms, ensuring efficient and timely delivery.
• Maintain grain and fertiliser contracts, stockbooks and movement records in AgriChain.
• Monitor grain production, sales positions, inventory, harvest receivals and storage capacity to support commercial decision making.
• Assist with reporting on grain marketing and input purchasing performance, including key purchasing and sales metrics.
• Coordinate grain marketing and procurement meetings, including agendas, supporting information and minutes.
• Support procurement activities, including supplier pricing, counterparty credit balances and commercial terms.
• Coordinate grain marketing and procurement administration, including compliance documentation, invoices, freight reconciliations and grain payments.
• Support AgriChain and system implementation, including training field staff and assisting the Grain Marketing and Supply Manager with other activities as required.

Qualifications

About you

• Experience with grain marketing/grain logistics, agriculture or a similar commercial environment is ideal. We are thinking around 2/3 years, but if you have less or more than that and you can convince us you are the right person, please apply as well.
• You have excellent verbal and written communication skills and enjoy working with a range of stakeholders.
• You are highly organised, detail oriented and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• You have strong numerical and analytical skills, with an ability to work confidently with data, reports and financial information.
• You are confident using systems and technology and enjoy finding ways to improve processes and data accuracy.
• You take ownership of your work, are proactive in identifying issues and are comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
