Head of Finance Business Partners

Faststream Recruitment has partnered with a well-established shipping company who is looking for a Head of Finance Business Partner.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with Executive Leadership – Act as the trusted finance advisor to the Executive Leadership Team, providing financial insights to support strategic and operational decisions.
• Drive Business Performance – Lead financial performance reviews, explain key trends and variances, and recommend actions to achieve business and financial targets.
• Lead FP&A Activities – Own the budgeting, forecasting, reforecasting, and long-range planning processes aligned with business strategy.
• Develop Financial Models – Build scenario analyses, forecasts, and sensitivity models to support planning, investment, and resource allocation decisions.
• Enhance Management Reporting – Design and improve KPI dashboards and reporting frameworks to provide actionable business insights.
• Support Strategic Decision-Making – Evaluate business cases, pricing strategies, investments, and growth initiatives through robust financial analysis.
• Strengthen Governance & Controls – Collaborate with Financial Controllers to ensure planning accuracy, data integrity, reporting consistency, and compliance with governance standards.
• Lead Finance Business Partnering Team – Develop and mentor the finance business partnering team to strengthen commercial acumen, analytical capabilities, and business influence.
• Drive Continuous Improvement – Improve finance planning processes, reporting cadence, analytical capabilities, and overall decision-support effectiveness.
• Support Crisis Management & Risk Planning – Contribute to crisis preparedness, participate in crisis management activities, and identify financial risks and opportunities to safeguard business performance.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience with strong expertise in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
• Demonstrated ability to work closely with executive leadership teams
• Proven track record of providing financial insights to support strategic business decision-making
