About this role

As the Head of Marketing, you will own the performance marketing strategy for the US market, driving profitable growth across the full customer journey by optimizing media mix allocation, revenue growth, and contribution margin while unlocking new scaling opportunities.

You will lead a local high-performing marketing team, bring strategic clarity to a fast-moving environment, and partner with leadership to convert market insights into measurable growth. This role goes beyond traditional paid acquisition, combining performance marketing with upper-funnel investment, strategic partnerships, and long-consideration customer journeys.

At PERGOLUX, we design and deliver Scandinavian-inspired pergolas and outdoor living solutions, driven by a collaborative, growth-oriented culture grounded in integrity, ambition, innovation, humility, appreciation, and unity.

What You’ll Do

  • Own and execute the end-to-end performance marketing strategy for the US market, driving optimal media mix allocation, revenue growth, and contribution margin across the entire customer journey.

  • Lead and develop the local marketing team, including Content and Influencer Marketing, while working closely with global Affiliates, Email/CRM, and Google/Meta specialists.

  • Own a diversified media strategy spanning core performance channels such as Meta and Google, while identifying growth opportunities across Connected TV, upper-funnel media, strategic partnerships, and emerging channels.

  • Establish robust measurement and attribution practices across CAC, MER/ROAS, incrementality, LTV, conversion, and contribution margin to protect profitability while scaling.

  • Optimize complex, high-consideration customer journeys with sales cycles of 2–3+ months, connecting acquisition, nurturing, conversion, and retention strategies.

  • Partner with Creative and Brand teams to build data-driven performance creative strategies, conducting full-funnel optimization across acquisition, conversion, and retention touchpoints.

  • Collaborate directly with the Country Manager and Global Leadership on forecasting, annual and quarterly planning, market growth initiatives, cross-channel budget allocation, and agency and technology partnerships.

What You’ll Bring

  • 8+ years of performance/growth marketing leadership experience scaling DTC or e-commerce businesses in the US market, with proven experience driving growth across high-AOV, high-consideration consumer journeys of 2–3+ months.

  • Proven track record of directly managing $5M+ annual performance marketing budgets, with clear ownership of revenue, MER/ROAS, CAC, and contribution margin targets.

  • Deep operational expertise across primary paid acquisition channels, particularly Meta and Google, alongside strong knowledge of lifecycle marketing including Email/CRM and Affiliates.

  • Experience developing marketing strategies beyond traditional paid acquisition, with exposure to Connected TV, upper-funnel media, and/or strategic partnerships.

  • Strong command of data analytics, incrementality testing, multi-touch attribution, forecasting, CRO, and cohort-based LTV analysis.

  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, with the ability to translate marketing performance into strategic decisions that directly impact revenue, profitability, and overall P&L health.

  • Proven ability to build, manage, and mentor internal teams while effectively managing and holding external agency partners accountable.

  • A strategic yet hands-on, egoless leadership style aligned with PERGOLUX’s values of unity, ambition, innovation, appreciation, humility, and integrity.

Nice to Have

  • Experience marketing high-ticket or aspirational consumer products, such as automotive, luxury home goods, outdoor equipment, or similar categories involving longer consideration cycles and emotional lifestyle positioning.

  • Demonstrated success scaling a European or international brand within the US or North American consumer market, including an understanding of regional preferences, seasonality, and local channel dynamics.

  • Experience leading or supporting major product launches and go-to-market strategies, including cross-channel planning, budget allocation, and performance measurement.

  • Experience with Connected TV, strategic partnerships, influencer marketing, SEO/content, and other upper-funnel growth channels.

  • Experience overseeing high-impact visual and UGC content strategies designed to build consideration and trust for high-ticket purchases.

  • Proficiency with modern analytics and marketing technology, such as GA4, Looker/Tableau, SQL, CDPs, and advanced attribution platforms.

  • Hands-on experience leveraging AI/LLM tools for strategic planning, audience research, creative development, analytics, or workflow automation.

  • Experience vetting, onboarding, and managing specialist US media-buying, creative, PR, or marketing agencies.

Benefits

  • Comprehensive health insurance coverage.

  • Retirement plan options.

  • Paid vacation and sick days.

  • An international, collaborative work environment that values creativity and innovation.

  • Professional growth opportunities in a rapidly scaling e-commerce company.

  • Team culture & events including team-building activities, seasonal celebrations, and after-work gatherings.

  • Employee discounts on all PERGOLUX products.

  • Comfortable workspace with complimentary snacks and beverages.
